The World
Riddhima Jindal is a couture practice founded in 2025 as the artistic evolution of a decade spent inside Indian fashion — from Nida Mahmood and Payal Singhal to Lakmé Fashion Week and the independent label Mapago.

Trained at NIFT New Delhi (AIR 29) with a specialisation in leather design, Riddhima has moved fluently between womenswear, couture, prêt, and concept-led fashion projects — designing and merchandising for Nida Mahmood, leading collections as senior designer for Payal Singhal, styling and backstaging for Lakmé Fashion Week, and consulting on costume for Anurag Basu's forthcoming film.
In 2020 she founded Mapago — a lifestyle-led ready-to-wear label. In 2025, she opens the doors of a second, more personal practice: an eponymous couture atelier where clothing is treated as sculpture.
Design Philosophy
Research-led, detail-driven, purpose-built. Strong fashion lies in clarity of concept, precision in execution, and relevance in the real world — not just aesthetics.
The Method
01
Cultural references, forecasting, market study, and brand alignment.
02
Visual narratives defining colour, texture, silhouette, and emotion.
03
Sketching, silhouette exploration, print ideas, embroidery concepts.
04
Fabric trials, surface development, embroidery samples, fit corrections.
05
Production-ready pieces built to intention, timeline, and hand.
